The role
What you will do
- Design forecasting, simulation, optimization, and risk models with clients
- Implement models as tested, documented production code
- Validate models against historical data and document confidence limits
- Build the data pipelines and interfaces that keep models in daily use
- Present methods and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
What we are looking for
- A strong quantitative background (engineering, operations research, applied mathematics, or similar)
- Professional experience building models in Python
- Software engineering fundamentals: version control, testing, code review
- The ability to explain a model's assumptions and limits in plain language
Nice to have
Preferred qualifications
- Optimization experience (mathematical programming, heuristics)
- Domain exposure to energy, utilities, infrastructure, or manufacturing
